PREAMBLE
Our schools are based, among other things, on the scientific pedagogy developed by Maria Montessori.
We see the child as a being under construction, with his or her own potential, who develops in a prepared, structured and demanding environment.
The Montessori pedagogy, as we apply it, supports each child in the autonomous, in-depth construction of his or her fundamental learning.
OUR COMMITMENTS
- Respect Montessori principles: the child’s rhythm and phases of development, and learning through autonomy
- Maintaining a stable, secure environment
- Provide a bilingual immersion environment, guaranteeing structured progress in oral and written skills.
- Ensure formalized pedagogical follow-up to measure progress and identify needs for improvement
- Regularly inform families of the child’s progress
- Prepare each student for a gradual, calm and effective transition to middle school, by ensuring mastery of the fundamentals and the acquisition of the expected work methods
OUR 3 PILLARS
1. Restricted freedom
Pedagogical freedom does not mean the absence of rules.
The framework is stable, explicit and consistent. It is an essential safety feature for children.
The child is free to :
- Choose your activity from among those presented
- Repeat a job if necessary
- Organize your time within the defined framework
This freedom is exercised with respect :
- Common rules
- Of others
- The work of others
- Hardware
Educator:
- Observe rigorously
- Presents equipment with precision
- Guiding without substituting
- Maintains a clear framework
- Promotes autonomy and responsibility
He ensures a balance between freedom and high standards, and guarantees the stability of the environment and the quality of learning.
2. Structured, verified learning
Our schools guarantee a :
- Tailored to the needs of each age group
- Aesthetically pleasing and functional
- Promoting concentration and autonomy
Learning is organized according to :
- Clearly defined objectives
- Competencies to be acquired at the end of the cycle, in line with the requirements of French education programs
- Explicit progression stages
- Acquired knowledge verified and consolidated before introducing new concepts
- Regular, precise, individualized monitoring communicated to families
Montessori materials are carefully selected and presented according to a precise progression.
Each student knows :
- What he learns
- Why he finds out
- What’s expected of him
3. Bilingualism
A window on the world
Bilingualism is at the heart of our schools’ educational project.
Children gradually develop natural linguistic fluency, while cultivating confidence and cultural curiosity, thanks to :
- A living bilingual environment in the daily activities of our schools.
- Teaching provided by French and English-speaking teaching teams.
- Gradual immersion to promote natural understanding and expression in both languages.
- Preparation for Cambridge certifications to enhance students’ language skills.
