"The great social mission of ensuring justice, harmony and love for the child remains to be accomplished. This important task falls to education. It's the only way for us to build a new world and establish peace. "
– Maria Montessori
A first reassuring setting where the child explores, manipulates and develops their first sensory and motor skills, gently and at their own pace.
Thanks to Montessori materials and multi-age group work, children build the foundations of reading, writing and mathematics while becoming more independent.
Learning is deepened through projects, reflection and independent work, in a stimulating and structured environment.
The school, built in the late 60s, is located in a green setting just a stone’s throw from the RER A train station.
Its circular architecture makes the space harmonious and conducive to concentration. The vegetation is lush and several gardens surround the school.

Classrooms are bright and spacious, allowing children to work comfortably with the teaching materials provided.
Our teaching team remains faithful to the teachings of Maria Montessori while seeking to expand and develop the acquired skills:
French, English and L.S.F. (French Sign Language) are used in the classrooms as well as throughout the school every day. All teaching materials are designed in French and English. Our teaching team (A.M.I.-trained) has been researching and creating materials for learning L.S.F. since 2010.
In each classroom, there is a French-speaking Montessori educator, an English-speaking Montessori educator and a Montessori assistant communicating in L.S.F. Each educator communicates only in their native language. Children grow in a school environment similar to what we would find within a multilingual and multicultural family: one parent/one language.
The teaching team is Montessori AMI certified.
French, English and French Sign Language are the
three languages permanently used at the school.
Activities offered outside school hours and on Wednesdays, adapted to different age groups.
Fun and immersive camps during school holidays, centered around various themes.

"A small school where students and parents feel they are in a community and children can build real friendships. A rare, true Montessori approach where the foundation is first values, autonomy and self-confidence for the child, rather than imposed external metrics. I found the teachers to be very dedicated."
"A wonderful school that teaches children all three languages. The educators are caring and the extracurricular activities are excellent for the children. The administration also listens to parents."
"A rare place for children, with large spaces, greenery and calm in the classrooms and at lunchtime. For the Wednesday workshops, Frédérique speaks with parents at the entrance and answers their questions very kindly. That is what I have seen when I come to EMIT, and have for many years."
"I highly recommend this school! The team is caring and professional, the children feel good, and as parents we are very happy with the educational setting."
"Delighted to see our child thrive in this school for their 1st year in a group setting.
I recommend it for the kindness and the high standards."
"Our son has been at EMIT for 3 years (2/3 class, then currently 3/6). We recommend this school for the quality of teaching with the Montessori approach and trilingual education (FR EN LSF), the teachers who are excellent, and the smooth and caring communication with the whole school team."
The school setting is ideal, with an outdoor vegetable garden for teaching permaculture. Meals are ORGANIC, varied and generous. Extracurricular activities (after school and during holidays) are also of a very high standard, with a cheerful and committed supervisory team.
The atmosphere among the children and parents at the school is very friendly."
"Very satisfied since the start of the school year with the Nogent school. Educational follow-up is rigorous with a team you can feel is committed; there is a large outdoor space with a vegetable garden and all meals are organic."
"We have known the school for 4 years now. The educators do an excellent job with the children. The children are fortunate to work in an environment that takes their needs into account while setting clear boundaries and respecting others."
I was pleasantly surprised that in the 6–12 class the educators could offer mediation to help the children interact well together.
Everything is designed so that children can flourish while learning."
