Pedagogical Project

Tailor-made support to help each child progress at his or her own pace

The CUBE SCHOOL Boulogne-Billancourt school for children with special needs welcomes children aged 6 to 12 in mixed-age classes (group 6 to 9 and group 9 to 12).

The proposed pedagogy focuses on differentiated instruction and specialized teaching, taking into account the specific needs of each student profile. We welcome children with DYS profiles, ADHD with or without hyperactivity, those experiencing a loss of academic motivation, intellectually gifted children, and those with hypersensitivity or a lack of self-confidence.

We strive to combine academic rigor and personal growth by offering tailored pathways in a positive, creative, and studious school environment.

We respect and follow the French Education Nationale curricula, with high standards in all subject areas. Each child has a personalized project for each period of the year. His or her work priorities are clearly defined and explained to him or her by the teacher in charge. Classes are flexible and geared to children’s well-being and optimum concentration. Children benefit from special attention and stimulating coaching from all their teachers.

Combining rigor and fulfillment

- Develop each child's full academic potential.
- Help children understand their difficulties, put them into perspective, and overcome them.
- Strengthen attention, listening, and memorization skills through dedicated activities.

- Improve student well-being by ensuring a calm, respectful, supportive, and positive school environment within a flexible classroom.
- Work in small groups: 6-9 years old and 9-12 years old, allowing for highly individualized monitoring and teaching.

Learning by Doing

- Active pedagogies allow children to: manipulate, experiment, develop their autonomy and discernment.
- Montessori practical life and sensorial activities help students with DYS disorders improve their proprioception and fine motor skills.
- The Montessori Great Stories support children's intellectual and scientific curiosity.

Undertaking Projects

- Carry out class projects that foster motivation in various disciplinary areas.
- Practice math challenges and ESD challenges following the scientific approach.
- Georges Charpak's 'La Main à la Pâte' (Hands-on) approach for learning through play.
- Organize one to two school trips per school period to better understand heritage and enhance on-site knowledge.

Giving Meaning

- Explicit pedagogy is recognized as particularly effective for specialized education. We use it daily in class.
- Practice structured debate and philosophical debate to develop the ability to think, argue, and articulate.
